Website Setup

There are a few different ways you can install a Website:


  1. Copy & Paste
  2. Send To Your Developer
  3. WordPress Plugin
  4. Google Tag Manager

# Copy & Paste:

  1. Copy your install code: goto https://go.optkit.com/websites, click on your Website, then click Edit
    You'll find the code under your URL. It looks like this:
    <script src="https://go.optkit.com/widget/load.js" id="OptKit" init="********" async="async" onerror="console.log('OptKit Blocked')"></script>
  2. Paste it right above the end of your BODY tag.
  3. Start installing Kits. Learn more.

# Send It To My Developer:

  1. Copy your install code: goto https://go.optkit.com/websites, click on your Website, then click Edit
    You'll find the code under your URL. It looks like this:
    <script src="https://go.optkit.com/widget/load.js" id="OptKit" init="********" async="async" onerror="console.log('OptKit Blocked')"></script>
  2. Email that code to your developer, and say: "Paste it right above the end of our BODY tag, on all of our pages".
  3. Start installing Kits. Learn more.

# WordPress:

  1. Copy & paste 1-line of code into your Header.php file, or use our WordPress plugin.
  2. Download the WordPress plugin here
  3. Get your Website ID (*****) from the URL within the OptKit dashboard.
    Example URL: https://go.optkit.com/websites/*****
  4. Activate the Plugin, and set your Website ID in OptKit Settings.
  5. Start installing Kits. Learn more.

# Google Tag Manager:

  1. Log into your Google Tag Manager account, goto Tags, and click "New".
  2. Create a new "Custom HTML tag"
  3. Modify your OptKit install code to:
    <script>window.OptKit_ID='*****';</script> <script src="https://go.optkit.com/widget/load.js"></script>
    Replace ***** with your Website ID
  4. Set it to "Fire On All Pages"
