Kits - Actions

This is where you can re-name your Kit, and you also can turn Activate / De-activate it. This is also where you can do various things based on the events your Kit produces.

  1. On Impression: When the Kit is initiated.
  2. On Conversion: When a person converts with a Kit.
  3. On Close: When the Kit is closed.

# On Impression:

The moment your Kit enters the web page. When a Kit passes all of the Rules you've set, and the web visitor's behavior sets off one of your Triggers, an Impression event is fired.


# Injection Types

Inject your Kit anywhere on your page.

  • Overlay Page

    This will allow you to place your Kit's above any other element. It will render all other elements on your screen un-clickable, unless you use CSS on the Kit Container Background to specify an !important height / width.
    * No height required, fits entire window.
    * No element required, fits entire window.
    * Sticky (fixed)

  • Push Page Down

    This will push the <body> tag down. It requires a fixed height, as all of the designs are responsive to the width of your web visitors browser / device. Perfect for 'Welcome Mat's" or "Top Bars".
    * Sticky (optional)
    * No element required, uses <body> tag.
    * Use 100vh to create a Kit that is fluid to your visitors screen height.

  • Push Page Up

    This will push the <body> tag up. It requires a fixed height, as all of the designs are responsive to the width of your web visitors browser / device. Perfect for 'Goodbye Mat's" or "Bottom Bars".
    * Sticky (optional)
    * No element required, uses <body> tag.
    * Use 100vh to create a Kit that is fluid to your visitors screen height.

  • Above Element

    This will inject your Kit above any specified element in your page. It requires a fixed height, as all of the designs are responsive to the width of your web visitors browser / device.
    * Fixed Height (required)
    * Sticky Top (optional)
    * Sticky Bottom (optional)
    * Element required. Use CSS selectors to define elements (#exampleId, .exampleClass).

  • Below Element

    This will inject your Kit below any specified element in your page. It requires a fixed height, as all of the designs are responsive to the width of your web visitors browser / device.
    * Fixed Height (required)
    * Sticky Top (optional)
    * Sticky Bottom (optional)
    * Element required. Use CSS selectors to define elements (#exampleId, .exampleClass).

  • Overlay Element

    This will inject your Kit on top of a specified element. It automatically adapts to the height and width of your specified element.
    * Element required. Use CSS selectors to define elements (#exampleId, .exampleClass).
    * No height required, fits specified element.

# On Conversion:

This event is fired at the moment they press a convert button, or complete your opt-in form.


# Insert Tracking Code (HTML & JS)

* Perfect for Facebook, Adwords, or any other advertising pixels.


# Email form data

Provide a list of emails (separate by comma) that will be forwarded your Kit's form data.
* Example: you@business.com, sales@business.com, marketing@business.com
* Not required


# POST form data

Provide a list of urls (separate by comma) that will be HTTP POST'd (as application/x-www-form-urlencoded) your Kit's form data.
* Example: https://business.com/email_process.php, https://business.com/email-opt-in
* Not required


# Trigger these Kits (by ID):

Provide a list of Kit ID's (separate by comma) that will be triggered. You can find a Kit's ID by looking at the URL when you edit it (example: https://go.optkit.com/kits/1234, the Kit ID is 1234).
* Target Kit's must be Installed on Website.
* Perfect for triggering a "Thank You" Kit
* Example: 1234, 4567, 7891
* Not required


# Redirection

Do you want to redirect users when they convert? Please provide a URL to where. Typically a coupon page, Thank You page or an up-sell offer.
* Not required


# Remove After # Seconds

Provide the number of seconds to wait before removing the Kit from the visitors view.
Using * 0 removes it immediately


# On Close:

This event is fired at the moment they press a close button in your Creative.
